Martin J Mongan will get Ireland’s campaign at the AIBA World Junior Championships underway in St Petersburg, Russia today.

The Clare light-heavy, who will be the only Irish boxer in action on Day 1, meets Russia’s Dmitri Fominykh.

Jimmy O’Reilly and Anthony Johnston have received byes into the last 16. Boxing begins today at 5pm (Irish time).
