Adam Smith: After Froch Groves I said to Hearn ‘I want Frampton Quigg and I want it quickly’

Adam Smith was back in Belfast on Wednesday in a professional capacity for the first time since Carl Frampton beat Kiko Martinez to be crowned European Champion.

The Sky Sports boxing head honcho revealed he was delighted to return to one of the Worlds greatest fight cities and admitted that when he saw Frampton beat Martinez for a second time, in a fight that was broadcast on Boxnation, he was slightly jealous the bout wasn’t aired on the station he works for.

Smith, a massive Barry McGuigan fan, also revealed he asked Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn to deliver him Frampton v Quigg soon after Carl Froch knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 people in Wembley.
