A large Irish contingent had provided the countries most popular sports star with a hairs on the back of your neck moment during and just after her ring walk.

The atmosphere as Taylor came to the ring to Oasis track ‘Wonderwall’ was sensational – and so vocal was the undisputed lightweight world champion’s support during the ring announcement, that the legendary Michael Buffer’s introductions were drowned out.

The atmosphere waned over the first six rounds as the Bray fighter made sure to box and tried to avoid getting involved in a war. However, it ramped right back up in the closing stages of the fight – and post the final bell the crowd played their part in a special moment in Irish boxing.

As Sky looked to interview the fighter directly after her victory over Christina Linardatou the crowd reaction seemed to hit the ground breaking star.
