Jason Quigley [16(120-0] will fail the toughest test of his career tomorrow night claims opponent Tureano Johnson [20(14)-2(2)-1].

The Bahamas native provides much sought after step up opposition for the Donegal prospect as the pair trade leather at Fantasy Springs on Thursday.

It’s seen as a chance for Golden Boy’s Quigley to put a serious name on his record and progress toward a world title shot, but the 2008 Olympian and Eamonn O’Kane defeater doesn’t see things transpiring that way.

The 35-year-old believes he defeat Quigley, put two disappointing results behind him and regain world title contender status.

“Jason is a nice kid and I have a lot of respect for him but if he is overlooking me he is making a massive mistake as I am not overlooking him by any stretch of the imagination. I am by far the biggest test of his career to date and I believe that I will emerge victoriously and move on to clashing for the world title eventually,” Johnson told Boxing Scene.

“Quigley is a dangerous opponent, he can really fight but I am excited about this fight as it’s going to be a great fight for the fans and one that I believe I will win in an entertaining fashion.”

Defeat to Sergiy Derevyanchenko saw the American based fighter take over a year break from action and when he returned he did so with a relatively disappointing draw with Fernando Castaneda.

Johnson claims he over looked the Mexican super middleweight and is adamant he takes a totally different approach into his clash with the Ingle Gym fighter.  

“I am very fit, I feel far better conditioned for this fight than I have in the past as I have taken a more scientific approach to training for this fight. I have felt a massive change and I feel that I will show a different and a far better version of myself on July 18.

“People still haven’t seen the best of Tureano Johnson and I believe they will see it against Jason Quigley.”
