Renowned stylist Reeves proves grit as he beats illness and Hungarian opponent

Lee Reeves has proved boxing Viagra for those with a thing for aggressive stylists since turning over.

The Limerick southpaw has won rave reviews for his entertaining displays in Canada and particularly in New York on St Patrick’s Day.

Illness before his fifth pro fight prevented him from looking as slick as usual last night, but he still managed to get the job done.

Indeed, the Limerick fighter dominated proceedings as expected from start to early finish.

Granted he was always meant to beat Hungarian Dominik Csaba Karoly on the undercard of of Custio Clayton takes on Johan Perez for the the vacant IBF Intercontinental and NABA welterweight titles.

Indeed, most predicted a stoppage victory was on the cards, but the 24-year-old ensured he got the job done whilst not feeling his belt.

The southpaw’s skill set was on display from the off and he moved through the gears once he put three rounds under his belt.

He began to hurt the Hungarian in the fourth and some beautifully timed power punching in the fifth forced the referee to step in and call a halt to proceedings.

The victory was the welterweight’s fifth since turning over in February of last year and the stoppage was his fourth in total.

Reeves record now read 5(4)-0 while his opponent Dominik Csaba Karoly falls to 2(1)-2(2)-1  after last nights fight.

Reeves has only fought one opponent with a losing record since turning over, but will most  be looking for a step when he returns to the ring – even if it’s just someone to ensure him six learning rounds.
