Late addition made to Mick Conlan Homecoming Undercard

There has been a late addition to the packed Mick Conlan card in Belfast next weekend.

The Top Rank starlet boxes for the first time as a pro in Ireland on Saturday June 30th at the SSE Odyssey Arena.

The bill features one of the most exciting-looking and competitive Irish undercards in many a year and today it was confirmed that Cuban youngster Neslan Machado [12(8)-0] has been added to the show.

The 21-year-old is a managerial stablemate of headliner Conlan and will be making his debut for MTK Global having signed in March. The aggressive fighter, coached by Jorge Rubio in Miami, built a record in the Dominican Record before relocating to Florida where he has gradually stepped up his level opposition. Machado is not expected to be in a competitive fight in Belfast.

The extremely strong undercard next week features a super featherweight Fight of the Year rematch between Dubs Jono Carroll and Deco Geraghty, a clash between Belfast welter Paddy Gallagher and recent world title challenger Gary Corcoran, another Lenadoon man in light welterweight Tyrone McKenna up against world title chaser Jack Catterall, and a BBBoC Celtic super bantamweight title fight for Tyrone McCullagh v Scottish champ Joe Ham.

There is also a major step up for Naas lightweight Gary Cully v Hungarian dangerman Zoltan Szabo and an all-British welterweight meeting between Lewis Benson and Johnny Coyle.

Opponents are still to be confirmed for Ulster super middles Padraig McCrory and Taylor McGoldrick as well as huge-hitting Belfast welter Lewis Crocker – as well as English flyweight Sunny Edwards – for the early portion of the night.

Falls Road feather Conlan tops the bill in an eight-rounder versus recent super bantamweight world title challenger Adeilson Dos Santos of Brazil.
