Dominant Davey Oliver Joyce scores first round stoppage on big Sky Sports Belfast show
Davey Oliver Joyce was totally dominant this evening in Belfast.
The Rio Olympian featured on the untelevised undercard of Ryan Burnett v Zhanat Zhakiyanov at the SSE Odyssey Arena and claimed the easiest win of his fledgling pro career thus far.
Joyce, stepping down from six rounds to four to facilitate the spot on the arena bill, was matched with English journeyman Andy Harris.
While Harris was an experienced and generally durably foe, he had no answer to the attacking ferocity of Joyce who quickly cornered him reigning in hooks and forcing the Gloucester away fighter to shell up.
The attacks kept coming and coming, and the fight was eventually waved off after two minutes of action.
The easy win sees Joyce improve to 4(3)-0, while the overmatched Harris drops to 3(0)-53(11)-1]
Next up for Joyce is a spot on the ‘Frampton Reborn’ bill at the same venue on Saturday November 18th – where he will again feature alongside gym mate Gary Cully – who also claimed a win tonight in Belfast.
