Early Betting Odds for Carl Frampton v Horacio Garcia

Yesterday the opponent for Carl Frampton‘s homecoming bout was finally announced.

The Belfast featherweight will take on Horacio Garcia [33(24)-3(0)-1] in a ten rounder on Saturday November 18th at the SSE Odyssey Arena.

It will be Frampton’s first fight since losing his WBA title to Leo Santa Cruz in January – and his first fight since splitting with the McGuigan family and linking up with MTK, Frank Warren, and Jamie Moore.

Garcia isn’t expected to trouble Frampton [23(14)-1(0)], and this is reflected in the odds for the bout.

At present only Irish bookmaking giant Paddy Power are offering prices.

Unsurprisingly Frampton starts out as a massive favourite and opens at a prohibitive 1/200. Garcia is 25/1 to pull off a massive shock, while the draw is priced at 33/1.

As is often the case with boxing, the Method of Victory markets may hold the best value. Frampton is 1/3 on to become the first ever fighter to stop Garcia, while a points win for The Jackal is 2/1. A knockout for Garcia is 33/1 and a points win is 100/1.

The round betting is as follows:

Carl Frampton Round 1 – 16/1
