Irish Homecoming confirmed for ‘Real Deal’ Moran

Waterford welterweight Dylan Moran [1(0)-0] has had a new fight date confirmed and it will be an Irish homecoming for the Déise youngster.

Manager and trainer Kieran Farrell has confirmed that ‘The Real Deal’ will box on the upcoming card at The Devenish Complex in West Belfast on Friday October 6th.

The fight will be Moran’s second in quick succession, with the Kilmacthomas 22 year old also appearing on another Farrell show in Manchester on Friday September 22nd.

Indeed Farrell wants to move Moran quickly, and is hoping for “four or five” fight dates before the end of the year and is targeting Celtic Nations and then Irish titles in 2018.

Moran currently is in camp with Farrell in Manchester and has recently been performing well in sparring with British champion Tyrone Nurse, European champion Sam Eggington, and former World champion Liam Smith.

The former Dungarvan amateur and champion kickboxer debuted in May with an impressive win over notably game journeyman Chris Jenkinson.

Moran is joined on the card in just over five weeks time by Dubliner Sean Creagh, Belfast talents Mathew Fitzsimons, Sean Magee, and Mark Morris, and chief support Pádraig McCrory. The show is headlined by a Celtic Nations middleweight title fight between Derry prospect Sean McGlinchey and Belfast’s Ger Healy.

Tickets cost £25 (standing), £35 (seated), and £55 (ringside), and are available to buy from the venue or from the boxers involved.
