Irish fighters get opponents for Macklin/Martinez undercard

Irish eyes will be on Matthew Macklin on March 17 as he attempts to dethrone middleweight ring king Sergio Martinez in Madison Square Garden.
However, there are a number of other Irish fighters looking to grow their reputation on the Garden hosted card and their opponents were named today.

Dublin’s undefeated heavyweight prospect Thomas Hardwick (4-0) has been paired with Blu Delong (0-3).   Irish American Danny O’Connor (16-1) Battles Danny McDermott (9-3-2).

Long Beach’s Navan representative Seanie Monaghan was linked with Ciaran Healy, Paddy McDonagh, John Waldron and Michael Sweeney but takes on Eric Watkins (6-1) instead.
