Red Corner return – New Irish fight date announced

Red Corner Promotions have announced their third show.

Building on ‘Inception’ and the hugely-acclaimed ‘Unfinished Business,’ the young Dublin outfit will return to the National Stadium on Saturday June 24th for their third show – ‘For Honour & Pride.’

The card, named after the 2000 rematch between Mexican legends Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera, will once again be headlined by Ballyfermot middleweight Luke Keeler [12(5)-2(1)].

The Celtic Warriors Gym boxer has moved up to #14 in the European rankings following points wins in headline fights against Bradley Pryce and Lewis Taylor which saw him win and retain the BUI Celtic title.

This time round, ‘Cool Hand’ Luke will fulfil his long-time ambition of fighting for the Irish title against a to-be-confirmed opponent – potentially Roscommon’s Darren Cruise [7(1)-5(0)] following the Boxing Union of Ireland’s authorisation of such a bout last year and an all-or-nothing bet made by both fighters last month.

No further fighters have been announced for the show on the South Circular Road, however Keeler’s Celtic Warriors Gym-mates look likely, as do the fighters who have appeared on previous Red Corner cards.
