Carl Frampton delighted with tribute from X-Factor’s Wagner

It may surprise some, but WBA featherweight champion Carl Frampton [23(14)-0] is a fan of The X-Factor

The Jackal has spoken before of his appreciation of the singing binman Andy Abraham, runner-up in Season 2, and was a big fan of the semi-serious Brazilian act Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho who divided opinion in Season 7.

Since his time on the ITV show, Wagner now records personalised messages and it blew ‘The Jackal’ away to find that some fans had paid for a good luck message ahead of his rematch with Leo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas.

The 60 year old South American wished Frampton the best and gave us a few bars of Elvis Pressley’s Viva Las Vegas.

Frampton joked how “Wagner singing me a song tops everything I done in 2016.”
