Coalisland lightweight Feargal McCrory [3(1)-0] has been forced off next weekend’s show at the National Stadium in Dublin.

The Tyrone fan-favourite was due to box on the Red Corner Promotions ‘Inception’ card but has had to withdraw due to the re-emergence of a recurring injury.

McCrory announced today that “with the advice of professionals and my trainer John Breen I have decided to withdraw.”

“I want to thank Red Corner promotions for the opportunity and apologies unconditionally, but some things are out of our control. I will be in Dublin supporting you in what I have no doubt will be an amazing night of boxing.”

“Also to the people who were going to support me, I am one of the luckiest boxers in the country with the support and following I take everywhere I go. We will have another day.”

The news caps a somewhat frustrating 2016 for the 24 year old who has been restricted to just two fights.

The November 5th card now comprises of headliner Luke Keeler who faces Bradley Pryce for the BUI Celtic Warrior title alongside an undercard featuring Lynn Harvey, Niall Kennedy, Bernard Roe, Eric Donovan, Connor Coyle, and Crank Whitehouse.
