Irish welterweight champion Peter McDonagh [26(3)-28(2)-1] will appear on one of the biggest card of the year.

The Galway three-weight Irish champ has been confirmed to feature on the undercard of Tyson Fury‘s heavyweight World title defence against Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday October 29th in Manchester live on Boxnation.

The MGM veteran, who has gone from a journeyman to a Cinderella man, will have Peter Fury in his corner for the bout.

The Connemara Kid was originally scheduled to appear on the initial postponed Fury-Klitschko rematch on July 9th and remains on the card for the new date at the Manchester Arena.

Also appearing on the undercard will be Tyson’s cousin Hughie Fury who faces a huge test against Andy Ruiz Jr, as well as Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan. Additionally, WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will make the first defence of the belt he won from Limerick’s Andy Lee last December, while Ovill McKenzie is scheduled to defend his British cruiserweight title against Craig Kennedy.
