Mick Conlan to appear on The Late Late Show
Mick Conlan will appear on Ireland’s most-watched television programme tonight.
The Belfast boxer will appear as a guest on The Late Late Show on RTÉ1 from 21:35 tonight.
Conlan will be interviewed by host Ryan Tubridy and will discuss his ridiculous Olympic quarter final loss to Vladimir Nikitin, his thoughts on the AIBA, and his future plans. Indeed Conlan may even have an announcement to make regarding his eventual destination in the pro game.
While not on The Late Late Show, and while the move didn’t materialise in the end, John Joe Nevin announced in 2012 on RTÉ’s The Saturday Night Show that he was to turn pro with Amir Khan.
A fresh-faced Conlan appeared on The Late Late four years ago following the London Games.
Also featuring on tonight’s show will be Irish Olympic silver medalists Gary and Paul O’Donovan (Lightweight Double Sculls) and Annalise Murphy (Women’s Laser Radial), Irish actors Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy, Minister for Transport Tourism and Sport Shane Ross, and comedian Al Porter.
