“Angry” Fury will have explosive Klitschko rematch claims Warren
Frank Warren is expecting an explosive performance from a frustrated Tyson Fury when he finally rematches with Wladimir Klitschko this Autumn.
The heavyweight World title repeat is heavily-rumoured to be taking place at the Manchester Arena on October 29th – almost a full year after the initial bout in Duesseldorf.
That night at the ESPRIT Arena, former Irish champion Fury implemented the perfect game-plan to frustrate and negate the long-ruling Ukrainian legend to take a comfortable points win.
However, the tactical and tentative nature of the bout led to criticism from some quarters.
Warren, the man behind Boxnation TV, who will air the bout, believes that the long build-up to the rematch will ensure that there is no repeat of the so-called ‘boring’ first fight
The veteran English promoter explained that “in an ideal world, Tyson would probably be looking at making his second defence by now and mounting up the kudos he richly deserves after his exploits in Dusseldorf.
“Don’t get me wrong, this is still the best fight out there between the top two heavies in the world. It is just a pity that it has taken so long to come around again.”
“We need to get him going again because, by the time fight night comes around, it will be nearly a year since he confounded the odds at the Esprit Arena.”
This long pause, Warren believes, has only served to rile The Gypsy King and will lead to an exciting return leg against the 40 year old Eastern European boxer. He described how “Tyson wants to take on all-comers, so the delays have been hard on him and also a big frustration for the fans who want heavyweight forces to frequently collide.”
“Knowing the angry mood Fury is in I forecast some explosive action this time round.”
