New weight no problem for Tyrone McKenna

Tyrone McKenna made a successful step down to light welterweight tonight.

The Belfast puncher has been training in the heat of Puerto Banús with MGM Marbella and had his first fight in the new weight class tonight in Wales.

At the Cardiff Ice Arena the 26 year old slickster comfortably defeated potential banana skin Chris Adaway, taking all six rounds for a 60:54 victory.

The win sees McKenna stretch his unbeaten record to [10(3)-0-1], while the game but outgunned Adaway drops to [4(0)-17(4)-2].
