Fights of Christmas Future – Creagh eyes Christmas Carroll Clash

Sean Creagh has responded to Stephen Carroll’s call-out, and the Tallaght welterweight is open to the fight.

Ballyfermot’s Carroll last week contacted us to express his desire for a clash with the MGM prospect, reasoning that it would be “an entertaining fight and probably the type of fight that would help the winner really kick on.”

“It would generate interest and we both sell tickets.”

27 year old Creagh has since spoken to irish-boxing.com and confirmed that he would also like to engage in a Dublin derby with his fellow novice.

‘Creaghsy’ agreed that “I think me and Shortty would be a great fight for a small hall show”

“I think the fans would get their money’s worth!”

However, Creagh [3(1)-0] feels that he and Carroll [2(0)-0] both need a couple more learning fights before a Christmas cracker of a showdown.

The former white collar puncher explained that “I think the two of us need two more fights, and then we could get it on around Christmas time for a Celtic Warrior title.”

Creagh, like Carroll, is confident of victory if the pair are to come to blows, stating that “it would be an early Christmas present with the win for me after a tough fight.”
