VIDEO: Kennedy gets Irish off to flying start in Boston with knockout win

Niall Kennedy opened the show for the Irish in scintillating fashion at the the House of Blues in Boston.

The Wexford heavyweight scored a first round stoppage win over Arthur Saribekian on the U.S East Coast.

Boom Boom Baz showed his nippy speed and his ever-improving punch power during the short fight which was halted by the opposition corner after 2 minutes and 31 seconds of the opeing stanza.

The victory was Kennedy’s second successive knockout win Stateside, and sees the Irish title hopeful improve his record to 4(2)-0. The veteran Saribekian falls to 23(18)-11(9)-1.
