Hyland is much more than a crowd pleaser says Promoter

It is less than three weeks to go until MHD Promotions in association with A McLean Bookmakers first professional boxing show of 2016 entitled “Elimination” fight card is really starting to look exciting.

With the main event see’s Belfast boxer James “The Future” Fryers v Maxi Hughes of Yorkshire fighting a 10 round eliminator for the British Super Featherweight Title, another mouth-watering scrap has been announced on the February 6th 6 fight bill.

The very talented and popular Lightweight hope Paul Hyland Jnr (9-0) is hoping to take is undefeated record to double figures when he takes on another strong opponent Jan Holec (6-2-1) of Czech Republic.

Holec is on a winning roll after knocking out an English prospect in Scott Jenkins who was 14-0 at the time. A win over the Czech fighter will should see “Hylo” throw his name into the hat as a contender for the British Title also.

“Hylo is much more than a crowd pleaser, he has the talent to go all the way, he has faced decent opponents so far, he is not sitting just outside the top ten of a very strong division by design, he is there by merit” remarked Promoter Mark Dunlop.

Another exciting match up to the card features former amateur stand out Tyrone McCullagh who now has his third fight in the paid ranks and first on home soil against Latvian Featherweight Antons Zacests.

Zacests (2-1) is a former kickboxing champion and comes with a winning record and is touted to be a durable test for the Derry man having gone the distance is his previous three contests.

McCullagh (2-0) has won his first two contests by second round KO’S and is keen to keep the momentum going and push himself up the British super bantamweight rankings.
