‘Lets do it again’ says Lee

Andy Lee would welcome the chance to regain his WBO middleweight world title.

The 31 year old southpaw’s reign as WBO ring king was ended by Billy Joe Saunders in Manchester on Saturday night.

Lee lost a majority points decision but pointed out two round three knockdowns were vital to the result.

While Lee didn’t argue with the result and congratulated the new champ he did say he would like a rematch.

“The two knockdowns cost me the fight,” Lee said at post-fight press conference.

“He deserved to win so I can’t complain with the decision. I would like another go of it, I felt I finished stronger but the two knockdowns cost me the fight.”
