Door opened for Warrington versus Hyland or McCullough on Frampton-Quigg Undercard
‘He is out on December 12 on a big card. February might be too soon he has been busy. So he won’t be on this card’
That is what Eddie Hearn told Irish-boxing.com when asked about a possible bout between Matchroom’s Josh Warrington and Belfast’s Marc McCullough or Dublin’s Patrick Hyland on the Frampton-Quigg undercard.
However, the undefeated European Champion is now off the undercard of Anthony Joshua versus Dillian Whyte, a card that also plays host to Gary O’Sullivan versus Chris Eubank Jr, potentially opening the door for a February 27th clash between Warrington and either Irish featherweight.
Both McCullough and Hyland have expressed a desire to face the Leeds ticket seller in the past and have both suggested a dust up on the undercard of IBF super bantamweight champion of the World Carl Frampton and WBA title holder Scott Quigg’s February 27 Manchester hosted bout makes sense.
Indeed former WBA Interim World title challenger Hyland tweeted today
Get well soon Josh! @EddieHearn let's set it up in feb it's a fight fans will love it 50/50 fight 👍🏼 @loudibella 👌🏼 https://t.co/LU3qXnkFYw

McCullough’s chances of a European title tilt may be higher considering he is already set to fight on the card as one of Cyclone Promotions undercard quota of February 27 punchers. The John Breen-trained Belfast man has too called for the fight to be made.
