New opponent for Fury

Hughie Fury [17(9)-0] has been handed a new opponent for his bout on the undercard of his cousin’s World title challenge in Duesseldorf this weekend.

The younger Fury was due to face Nicolas Firtha [21(8)-11(5)-1]], a former opponent of Tyson, at the ESPRIT Arena, however the Ohio veteran has withdrawn.

The American veteran’s place on the Klitschko-Fury card has been taken by Bosnian Adnan Redzovic [16(5)-1(1)]. While Redzovic has an attractive record, he was defeated in his sole step-up in class last year where he was stopped in the ninth round of his clash with Kosovo’s Arnold Gjergjaj for the EBU non-EU European Title.

Fury will face the 38 year old ‘Bosnian Lion’ over 10 rounds on Saturday.

The 21 year old former World Youth champion will be looking to continue his good form in 2015 which saw him score a recent KO victory in Bristol.

Also featuring on the undercard of the Sky Box Office event is Finglas super featherweight Jono Carroll [8(1)-0].
