Frampton promises to do public enemy #1 Hearn a massive favour!

Carl Frampton hasn’t hidden his dislike for Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn of late, but he is still willing to do Scott Quigg’s promoter a massive favour on February 27th.

‘The Jackal’ claims Quigg is burning a hole in Hearn’s pocket, costing the promoter money and suggests as a result the Matchroom boss wants rid of the WBA title holder.

The IBF super bantamweight champion of the World is only too happy to oblige and suggests he will give Hearn the perfect excuse to ditch Quigg on February 27.

“They want to cash in on him now,” Frampton told Sportsview London. “Listen, this guy is hemorrhaging Eddie Hearn’s money. He doesn’t sell a ticket and Eddie still has to pay him his wages. Eddie wants rid of Scott Quigg so I am going to do him a favour. You’re going to see the best performance of my career. I will win in style.”

The Frampton v Quigg Manchester Arena hosted February 27th bout is certainly the biggest and most lucrative clash of the Cyclone Promotions star’s career, but the Belfast man is adamant it won’t prove a career-defining clash.

“I don’t think in hindsight it is a career defining fight. It’s a big fight, but when you look back in 25 years at my career I don’t think it will be seen as a career-defining fight. Things will snow ball for me after I beat Scott Quigg, but this doesn’t prove I am the best in the World. It proves I am the best in Ireland, the UK and Europe. I have to beat Rigondeaux to prove I’m the best in the world.”
