Stephen ‘Shorty’ Carroll returns to the ring after a nine month absence eager to build on his debut win.

The Dublin lightweight prospect takes on Asen Vasilev, the same fighter Craig O’Brien traded leather with in his second pro outing, at the Red Cow on November 6.

Chatting to Irish-boxing.com this week ‘Shorty’ spoke of his desire to end his long absence with a quick nights work.

Carroll, 23, who fights at welterweight next weekend, also expressed a desire to get busy and move up the rankings.
