The same fate that meet the last bitter rival Eddie Hearn served up ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan awaits new Matchroom fighter Chris Eubank Jr claims the Cork middleweight.

The WBA NABA champ has verbal sparred the WBA Interim title holder for over two years now and according to Hearn could finally get the chance to trade blows of a more lethal kind with the Jr in December.  

‘Spike’ says if the clash does come off he will prove a nightmare foe for the Brighton star and it will be sweet dreams for the son of ring legend for former Steve Collins foe Chris Eubank.

The Celtic Warrior Gym fighter, who Hearn is hopeful of pitting against his new signing on December 12 in London, points out the last time he fought on Sky against a fighter he had verbal history with, Anthony Fitzgerald he delivered a knock out and promises to do the same again if he get the Eubank clash.

The Eubank fight has been mooted for some time now-and came close to happening earlier this year, but ‘Spike’ claimed add-ons demanded by Frank Warren made the clash impossible to take.

With Matchroom involved the Murphy’s boxing fighter doesn’t see any such issues when the teams sit down to try and make the fight after his October 10 Boston clash.

“Only two men have called me out since I turned pro. Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing delivered one of them to me in Dublin last November, and I knocked him out in 60 seconds live on Sky Sports,” Spike said on social media last night.

“The other is Chris Eubank Jr, and you all know that he’s been running scared ever since. Maybe Junior won’t be able to hide behind contracts and excuses now.

“Put Christopher Eubank Junior in a boxing ring with me and I will put that boy to sleep.”
