Wladimir Klitschko: Injury is only minor

There was disappointment today for boxing fans with news that the hotly-anticipated heavyweight clash between WBO/WBA/IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko and unbeaten challenger Tyson Fury has been postponed due to an injury suffered by the Ukrainian.

It was revealed by German sports newspaper Bild that Klitschko had suffered a calf tendon injury and that the Duesseldorf showdown fight would be re-fixed for a later date.

The champion took to social media to reassure fans that it is merely a “minor injury” and that he is “working hard to reschedule the fight.”

A message to my fans.
