Popular light heavyweight contender, Seanie Monaghan [25(16)-0], will fight again next month. The Irish-American of Navan stock will return to the ring against Chicago brawler, Donovan George, on Friday October 16th.

Steve Kim of BoxingScene today broke the news, as well as revealing that the fight will be aired on TruTV

George [25(22)-4(2)-2], like Monaghan, is a throwback come-forward fighter, making for what will hopefully be a fan-friendly fight.

34 year old New Yorker Monaghan is currently the WBC Continental Americas champion – although it is unclear whether this belt will be on the line against George.

The fight at Brooklyn’s Aviator Center, and Monaghan will headline a card that also features Olympic silver medalist John Joe Nevin
