He is tough but not Big Sexy tough say Sean Turner

Igoris Borucha is tough but not tough enough for ‘Big Sexy’ claims Sean Turner.

‘Big Sexy’ takes on the Lithuanian in Spain on Friday night and is predicting a fifth knock out win.

Borucha represents a step up in class, he has performed admirably against a number of British prospects, has ten wins to his name and has only been stopped twice in 30 defeats. However, the 24 year old Dublin puncher points out none of the up and coming names posses the one punch knock out power he does.

“He is a tough opponent I will give him that,” Big Sexy told Irish-boxing.com.

“He is the kind of step up I wanted. He has been in with a lot of prospects and proved how tough he was by bringing them the distance, but he has never tasted power like mine. None of those lads posses the power I do. I will be looking to stop him and I know if I catch him flush I will. With his record a stoppage win over him would be a statement and would show I am ready to move up the levels. He has over 40 fights and he won’t be coming over to lie down so I am looking forward to a good fight.”

The former Senior Champion has signed a management deal with MGM and has been training for his sixth pro outing in Spain over the last three weeks.

Turner was always a little frustrated at home eager to move faster than was possible in Dublin and it ultimately had a negative effect on his motivation and as a result training. In that regard he believes the move to MGM is perfect for him.

“I settled in well here- to be honest you can’t beat it. You have no worries, you have your training scheduled and your meals are cooked an prepared for you so you can’t but eat right. I dropped 7 kilos since my last fight last I checked. It is great just to be able to concentrate on fighting and doing your job in the ring. Deco (Geraghty) is living with me and is my alarm clock, he gets me up for runs. We are running, doing sprint sessions, circuit training and then our pads and sparring.”
