Victor Raul Capaceta will provide the opposition as former Irish amateur star John Joe Nevin tried to kick start his pro career.

Nevin has racked up three wins since turning pro, but had endured a difficult time outside of the ring. The Olympic silver medal winner has relocated to America and is ready to start a busy period in the ring with victory in New York tonight.

Mexican Capaceta will man the opposite corner as Nevin plans to increase his winning record and catch the eye of American fight fans.

‘Zurdo’, who has been boxing as a pro since he was just 15 years of age, has only won 4 of his 14 fights and shouldn’t provide ‘The Mullingar shuffler’ too much trouble as he fights for the first time since November.

The fight will play out over four rounds and Nevin has dropped to super featherweight for his fourth pro outing.
