Carl Frampton was made to work hard on his American debut by Mexico’s Alejandro González Jr.

While it was not the best performance of his career, enough of his all-action, exciting style shone through to win him man new fans across the Atlantic.

Frampton hit the floor for the first time in his pro career in the opening round and had to recover from two first round knock downs to retain his IBF super bantamweight World title.
