Ryan Burnett looked strong today when he weighed in for his fight against Csaba Kovacs. The Belfast bantamweight is the chief Irish support for the Jamie Conlan-headlined ‘New Beginning’ card at the National Stadium tomorrow.

The 23 year old will be hoping to impress in the eight round fight ahead of his British title eliminator with Jason Booth in the autumn.

The Adam Booth-trained boxer also engaged in a highly tense head-to-head with his Romanian-born, Hungarian-based opponent

Doors open at the National Stadium at 6pm, first bell is at 6:45pm Tickets are available from ticketmaster.ie. ‘New Beginning: Conlan-Granados’ will also be shown live on Boxnation from 7pm.
