Bates to fight in York Hall next month

CIARAN Bates will be afforded the chance to impress British fight fans when he trades leather on a stacked York Hall bill on June 13.

The Dublin lightweight prospect has impressed his way to 4-0 since debuting in June of 2014 and boasts three early knock outs on his CV.

The former amateur of note, who has made no secret of his desire to keep active and secure a shot at the pro Irish title, will now get some experience fighting abroad.

He is penciled in to face journey man Dean Evans on a busy London fight night and will look to improve to 5-0 on a card that includes 15 other fights.
