Doheny passes toughest test to date and retains continental title

TJ Dohney successfully defended in Pan Asian super bantamweight title in the Punch Bowl New South Wales this morning (Irish Time).

The oz based Portlaoise native pushed his record to 11-0 with victory over Marc Demcillo in Australia.

The Philippine puncher was billed as ‘The Power’s’ toughest test to date, but he passed it with relative ease winning a unanimous 120-108, 120-109, 118-109 decision.

World ranked Doheny plans to keep busy in a bid to get into the World mix and is back out again as early as July 4 against a yet to be confirmed opponent.
