Sugar Ray Ginley to return in Derry in May

SUPER middleweight prospect Ray Ginley returns to the ring on the undercard of Eamonn O’Kane’s homecoming on May 2.

The undefeated 21 year old Belfast fighter hasn’t fought since October of last year when he stopped Qunicey Miner in round two of a clash in the Ring of Dreams, North Carolina in what was his first fight in 366 days.

Like Tyrone McKenna and Anthony Cacace, Ginley left Greenbloods and returned from an American base. He considered retirement, and even flirted with a 9-5 existence, but the big punching super middleweight will fight on and returns on what is shaping up to be an entertaining Derry show.

Ginley, whose brother Mark has gone into management, will fight a yet to be confirmed opponent over four rounds.
