Eubank Jr slams ‘shameful’ ‘Pathetic’ Spike!
CHRIS Eubank has slammed Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan’s decision to turn down an offer to trade leather on May 9 as both ‘shameful’ and ‘pathetic’.
O’Sullivan has been chasing a clash with the WBA Interim World champion for two years and looked set to settle his Eubank Jr grievances in London on May 9. It seemed both camps had agreed a fight deal, but Team Spike claim three options wanted by Warren if the Cork man won forced them to pull out.
As a result the clash won’t go ahead and Eubank Jr will face different opposition next month, while O’Sullivan looks set to fight in America. Eubank claims he was surprised to hear ‘Spike’ won’t be in the opposite corner and branded the decision as ‘shameful’.
“I only found out today that he had pulled out,” said Eubank.
“For a man who has said the things he has said to now waste his chance of a WBA title shot and to fight me is shameful. It’s pathetic.”
