Quigley hopes to be back out in early April

JASON Quigley hopes to take another step toward the top with a bout as early as the first week in April.

The Donegal middleweight prospect pushed his record to to 4-0 with a fourth inside the distance win in LA on Saturday night. The Golden Boy puncher claims he see’s every fight as an important rung on the ladder and is ready to getting climbing that bit quicker with regular fights in 2015.

The former Irish amateur stand out claims talks re an April date have already taken place and he hopes to be out within a month of his Lanny Dardar win.

“Oscar (De La Hoya) wants to keep me busy and he wants me to be in the ring every month or six weeks. There is talk about getting me back out in the first week of April, it has yet to be confirmed, but its a possibility. It would be great because the more active you are the better,” Quigley told Highland Radio before reflecting on his most recent win.

“It’s another stepping stone to were i want to get to and its great to get the victory. Going into the fight this guy had never been knocked out- he was stopped in the last round of one of those fights. I knew he was going to be a tough opponent. I knew he was going to be in my face a lot, coming forward trying to spoil my skill, but everything went to plan.

“Every fight and every opponent I train for the distance. I train for a tough fight because no matter what every fight is a World title fight to me as its a stepping stone to where I want to get to.”
