Frampton claims Avalos’ Mam hit him with chewing gum

HE is confident he will evade any harmful Chris Avalos punches when he makes the first defense of his IBF super bantamweight World title in the Odyssey Arena on Saturday night, but Carl Frampton couldn’t avoid a piece of chewing gum thrown at him by ‘The Hitman’s’ sharp shooting mother at today’s weigh in.

As things got heated at the head to head after both fighters made weight, the challengers mother threw some chewing gum in the direction of the champion, Frampton claimed on Twitter post weigh in.

Mrs Avalos has been a pleasant and approachable visitor to Belfast this week, but has been vocal and partisan at press meetings often answering questions fired at her son from the back of the room. And according to Frampton she went too far today and threw chewing gum in his direction today.
