Dynamite Cummings to fight in Denmark
Coalisland’s talented Middleweight prospect Conrad ‘Dynamite’ Cummings will make his fifth professional appearance of 2014 next weekend in Copenhagen on the undercard of the Nordic Fight Night show featuring
Norwegian female World champion Cecilia Braekhus. The Falkoner Hall in the Copenhagen suburb of Frederiksberg is the setting for twenty-four year old Cummings’ fifth professional contest.
The Tyrone prospect, 4(2) – 0, faces Hungary’s experienced Norbert Szekeres in a six round bout that rounds off a fantastic debut year in the professional ranks for the powerful Cummings. Under the tutelage of coach Shane McGuigan the all-action Cummings has begun to hone a devastating pressure fighting style that has already sent shockwaves through the exciting domestic middleweight scene. In Szekeres he will be facing a tough man who has been in with a host of current middleweight contenders including Denmark’s Patrick Neilson, Italy’s Domenico Spada and England’s Billy Joe Saunders.
“I’m delighted to be getting out once again before the year’s end and to box on a big show in Denmark is all the better. It will be my first professional appearance abroad and it is this kind of experience that will help me and the team further my development. I can’t wait to box again,” stated a confident Cummings.
Former World featherweight champion and Cyclone Promotions CEO Barry McGuigan is pleased to be able to offer Cummings his first foreign assignment and excited to be working with renowned German promoters Sauerland.

The Team Sauerland Promotion ‘All or Nothing’, Nordic Fight Night event headlined by Norway’s WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO Female World welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus’ title defence against Jennifer Retzke will be shown live in Denmark on TV3 Sport 2, in Norway on Viasat, in Sweden on TV 10 and on Sat 1 in Germany.
