McCarthy to top January show in the Ulster Hall?

‘BIG’ Tommy McCarthy looks set to top his first pro bill in Belfast on January 24.

The former Irish amateur champion has impressed since turning professional and has stopped all four of his foes since ditching the vest.

The cruiserweight is now ready to take his career a step further and will top his first bill in January if all goes according to plan.

The Ulster Hall is being muted as a venue and January 24 as the fight date.

Speaking to IFL TV after McCarthy won in Dublin on Saturday night manager Pat Magee explained,

“We have a date in Belfast lined up, January 24 unless something better turns up we will run with that.

“Next year will be a busy year, but the end of next year Tommy will be in championship contentions.”
