Macklin ‘hoping’ for a big fight in Dublin
MATTHEW Macklin is hoping to fight a World title eliminator in Dublin in the near future.
The three time World title challenger is a free agent after his DiBella Entertainment contract ran out and he is rumored to be mulling over a number of promotions offers.
By all accounts one offer includes a return to Ireland and a big fight in Dublin. Speaking to press in Belfast press last week the ‘Tipperary Tornado’ said:
“I am hoping to have a World title eliminator in Dublin in the coming months. That is the plan but nothing has been agreed,” said Macklin.
Commentating on Coldwell TV on Saturday night former Irish Champion Jamie Moore, who now coaches ‘Mack The Knife’ indicated something similar and even name dropped Andy Lee as a possible future foe.
