Parlagi: I will give McCullough a boxing lesson
MARTIN Parlagi plans to give Marco McCullough a boxing lesson in The Waterfront on Friday night.
The undefeated Slovakian fights the Belfast prospect for the vacant WBO European featherweight title and comes to Belfast in confident mood.
Parlagi, who has stopped eight of his 14 foes believes he has the skill set to out box the John Breen trained puncher and is looking toward a points win.
Indeed the Slovak, who competed at the AIBA World Championships in 2007 and 2009 for his country as well as reaching the 2008 European Amateur Championships quarterfinals, predicts a wide margin decision on Friday night.
“I think that I am ultimately the better boxer. I am at my peak and I don’t just want to go out there and blast McCullough out, I want to beat him up and win on points clearly. That way it is even more of an achievement to have won on points away from home.”
