McCullough planning to beat tough opposition in style

MARCO McCullough isn’t just targeting victory a fight billed as the ‘toughest of his career’, the Belfast featherweight is planning to win in style on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s April 4 World title eliminator.

McCullough takes on Belarus’ Andrei Isaeu, 25(7) – 4, for the vacant WBO European Featherweight title on the This Is Belfast fight card in what is easily his toughest test to date.

The Belarussian is a former IBF Intercontinental champion and challenged Rendall Munroe for the European title challenger. However, McCullough remains unfazed and doesn’t just plan on getting his hand raised live on BoxNation he is intent on winning in style.

“It’s exciting to be out again on a big Frampton undercard, it’s always a great atmosphere and I’m up against a good opponent. I want to win and win in style,” McCullough said at Tuesday’s press conference.

Considering he has only been stopped once registering an eye catching knock out win might prove difficult for a fighter, who won the Celtic and Irish titles in his last two fights. And despite being confident the John Breen trained fighter is aware of his foe’s capabilities.

 “He gave Rendall Munroe a good fight and that in 29 fights he has only been stopped once with a cut. I think it will be a real tough fight for me as he has been in the ring with great boxers, he has a lot of experience and loads of rounds under his belt,” McCullough told TopClassBoxing.
