McDonagh and Hutchinson to fight for the Irish title on Paddy’s Weekend
The Connemara Kid and the Buncrana Banger will do battle for the Irish light middleweight in Reading on St Patricks weekend.
Peter McDonagh and John Hutchinson will fight for the title left vacant by Lee Murtagh’s retirement on a Channel 5 broadcast Card on March 15.
It’s a chance for 50 fight veteran McDonagh to become a two weight Irish champion, the former European title challenger claimed the lightweight title with victory over Michael Gomez in The Point Theatre back in 2006.
For Hutchinson a five fight novice its a chance to claim a title that could propel him up the rankings.
