Edward Donovan dominates in Scotland

Edward Donovan extended his unbeaten pro start reaching the early milestone of five fights in Scotland tonight.

‘The Dominator’ fittingly dominated Octavian Gratii in Lagoon Leisure Centre, Paisley securing a shut-out win.

The Romanian is noted for bringing fighters the distance and considering he has only been stopped twice in 30 defeats comes with a guarantee of rounds.

He lasted the distance against the European schools medal winner and former underage amateur standout but never really threatened an upset.

Donovan won all four rounds to register a 40-36 points win.

The Limerick welter, who says he finds it hard to find willing opponents, is willing to fight any fighter in the welter or light middleweight divisions.

Speaking recently to Irish-boxing.com he said: “I want to be a household name. I’m willing to fight anybody. I’ve been sparring the best, I’ve been beating the best since I’m 16 years old. I’ve sparred with Irish elite fighters, and English and UK elite fighters. I am willing to fight anyone at welter or super welter. I want to fight for titles, any titles I can step in and fight for. I’ll fight any date, I’m always ready.”

The win sees Donovan improve to 5-0 while his opponent slips to 8-31-2.
