Kevin Cronin sets up BIG fight with victory on a mixed day for Kerry
It took 16 months but Kevin Cronin finally moved to 5-0 over the weekend.
The Kerry prospect put a frustrating period of inactivity behind him with victory in Manchester on a busy Saturday for Irish boxing.
The Kingdom Warrior out pointed Ryan Hibbert at the AJ Hall in Eccles in his first fight since June of 2021.
Cronin shut out the experienced journeyman and did so over six rounds, meaning he is now BUI Celtic eligible.
Rumour suggests he will fight Robbie Burke for a domestic strap next, with talk of a clash on the November 19 Dublin card increasing by the week.

“The deal is pretty much done on my next fight with the Promoter and opponents team,” Cronin said. “I can’t wait to announce it very very soon. Keep Nov.19th free.”
It wasn’t a day of wins for Kerry as the Kingdom’s other active pro, Liam Walsh drew in Leicester.
Ireland’s second youngest pro looked to return to winning ways on a Carl Greaves card but followed up his draw against Vasif Mamedov by sharing four rounds evening with Martin Shaw.
