Pretty Boy Declan Geraghty back strutting his stuff
Declan Geraghty [20(5)-5(4)] is back and will fight for the first time in a year next month.
‘Pretty Boy’ will strut his stuff in Rotherham, UK on September 9.
The Dublin southpaw has been added to the Rotherham Ruck bill and will fight a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent on a fight night that holds further Irish interest via Luke Caffrey [3-0] and Dominic Donegan [5(1)-3(0)-1].
The bout will be Geraghty’s first since September of last year and just his second since he was defeated by Archie Sharp in the same month three years ago.
The two weight National Elite Champion and former amateur standout has endured a frustrating few years since that Sharp reverse but always remained vocal about his desire to fight.
He saw a bout with Kieran Gethins fall through last minute last year and had been linked to Jake Hanney among others – but ultimately has been idle for some time. The Inner City fighter gets back active next month and may push toward one more big night or a domestic title fight.
Also appearing on the card is England based Rush fighter, Caffrey, ‘The Prodigy’ will be looking to extend his winning start and Donegan warms up for his Clash of Cavan with Owen Duffy in his first fight since BUI Celtic title defeat to Graham McCormack.
