Ulster Fly – Conor Quinn signs with Mark Dunlop after returning to Belfast
Conor Quinn [2(2)-0] is back in Belfast and not just for a holiday.
The talented young flyweight has returned home and signed terms with MHD Promotions and Mark Dunlop.
Despite the presence of Brendan Irvine, the 22-year-old was said to be on the radar of the powers that be in the High Performance and in with an outside Tokyo shout as a result.
However he elected to turn over last year. The seven time Irish Champion decided to explore options in Australia teaming up with Fortitude Boxing Gym, Steve Deller and co in Brisbane.
‘Magnificent’ registered knockout wins either side of Christmas 2020 fighting out of Brisbane, but hasn’t fought since February.
The flyweight prospect is now in Belfast and has teamed up with MHD promotions.
His home debut looks set to take place on March 13 at the proposed Stormont Hotel show.

Quinn joins Matchroom’s James Tennyson, European cruiserweight champion Tommy McCarthy, former European title challenge Paul Hyland Jr and Irish featherweight champion Eric Donovan on the MHD roster.
The fighter, who will be trained by Dee Walsh, could well benefit from Mark Dunlop’s relationship with Mark Dunlop and Sky Sports and if Matchroom do, as predicted, come to Belfast next year, should benefit.
