No problems for Dunne at weigh-in
11 April 2008 – by Mark Doyle
There was no drama at the weigh-in for Bernard Dunnes eagerly-anticipated bout with Felix Machado, with both men making the super-bantamweight limit easily.
Dunne tipped the scales bang on 125lbs, while his Venezuelan opponent came in just half a pound lighter.
The bout in Castlebar, Mayo represents Dunnes first outing since his losing his European title in a devastating first-round stoppage defeat at the hands of Kiko Martinez.
Meanwhile, Andrew Murray weighed in comfortably inside the light-welterweight limit ahead of his bout with Wellington De Jesus.
The undefeated Irish champion, who will be fighting for the third time in just under a month, came in at 137.5lbs, a pound lighter than his opponent.
