‘F***ing massive’ – Boxing Ireland excited about all Irish Celtic Clash bill topper

Celtic Clash 11 will be topped by an all Irish fight, that Boxing Ireland stress isn’t just big, but rather ‘f***ing massive’.

The promotional group have revealed they will be back with the popular series this year, but haven’t given any specifics with regard to when, where or who will populate it.

They have teased with suggestions it will be one big ‘demolition derby’ card and they believe the first agreed all Irish clash on the the eleventh installment of the series is a ‘massive one’.

Again they haven’t gone into specifics with regard the bout, but rumour suggests it involves Eddie Treacy, which in turn has prompted speculation Boxing Ireland have allowed the Bray fighter and Cavan’s Dominic Donegan to fight.

Both fighters previously expressed a desire to trade leather after being mandated to fight for the BUI light middleweight Celtic title.

However, as two rising stars of the stable, Boxing Ireland understandably wanted to keep them apart.

The current situation and the fact neither were willing to step aside to allow the other challenge a non Boxing Ireland light middleweight for the title, may have forced the promotional company ran by Steven Sharp, Leonard Gunning and Dennis Morrison to make what would be a mouthwatering clash.

Again Boxing Ireland have yet to confirm the make up of the agreed clash and the above is speculation.

Irish-boxing.com also speculate the card will play out in Belfast around September November time.

It’s believed a number of Boxing Ireland fighters also offered their services for the proposed MTK July card.

Irish-boxing.com understands Boxing Ireland’s Belfast bill topper Joe Fitzpatrick will fight Declan Geraghty on ESPN+ in July, but despite plenty of rumour and any number of call outs no other match up has been confirmed.

It’s safe to predict the majority of the Boxing Ireland stable will get Celtic Clash 11 run outs – and depending on who fights in Waterford in August we could see a lot of stable in against each other.

The likes of Stephen McAfee, Owen O’Neill, Stephen Webb, Kevin Cronin, Conor Cooke, Conor Doherty, Tony McGylnn, Aaron Gethins, Senan Kelly, Kelvin McDonald, Martin Quinn, Sam Carroll and the likes will all be vying to appear.
